- Listen to Passage to Freedom: The Sugihara Story by Ken Mochizuki using Victor Reader.
- Make a prediction based on their prior knowledge of the time period, the vocabulary from the text and the title of the book and verify their predictions.
- Make predictions about the life of the Sugihara family after they left Lithuania.
